Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 June 2026

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

1. Data we collect

  • Account & profile — name, contact details, date of birth, gender, religion, community, location, education, profession, photos, and partner preferences.
  • Verification — identity documents you submit, stored encrypted.
  • Activity — interests, shortlists, messages, and usage data needed to run the service.
  • Payments — transaction records and payment screenshots you upload.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to create your profile, suggest and rank matches, enable communication, process payments, verify identity, keep the platform safe, and comply with legal obligations. We rely on your consent and on the legitimate operation of the service.

3. What others can see

Other members see only what your privacy settings allow. We never display your exact date of birth, contact details, or identity documents on your public profile. Contact details are revealed only through the gated features you control.

4. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive items such as identity documents, access controls, and audited administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

5. Your rights (DPDP)

You can, at any time from Settings:

  • Access and download a copy of your data (data export).
  • Correct your information by editing your profile.
  • Manage your consents, including marketing communications.
  • Request deletion of your account — deactivated immediately and permanently erased after a 30-day grace period.

6. Data retention & sharing

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements. We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform, under appropriate safeguards.

7. Grievances

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact our Grievance Officer via the Help & support page. We aim to respond within the timelines required by law.

This is a template for review by the platform’s legal counsel and Data Protection Officer before launch and does not constitute legal advice.
